THE PROJECT

We are a family of five – Phillipe, Stéphanie, and our children Thomas, Madeline and Lison together with our dog Dolly  a Bernese Mountain dog, our cat Marcel and our chicken all of whom run free

We believe we enjoy a great quality of life and want to share this with like minded people .Philippe, a craftsman and passionate builder and Stéphanie who was an administrator employee and now a full time mum between ourselves .

Our good chemistry and sleepless nights gave birth to this plan for a change of life.

Our village, our region ...

Nous habitons à Bonlieu , petit village jurassien de 280 habitants , au coeur de la Région des lacs, aux portes des Montagnes du Jura, sur le chemin pédestre reliant les fameuses Cascades du Hérisson.

Notre cadre de vie serein et unique offre une vue dégagée sur une nature préservée. Nous  avons voulu le partager pour vous le faire découvrir.

How long have you been hosting this activity?

We live in Bonlieu, a small village in the Jura of 280 inhabitants which is in the heart of the Lake District and on our doorstep are the Jura mountains and fabulous cascades de Herrison with many hiking trials connecting them both. Our chalets have a serene and unique lifestyle offering unobstructive views of unspoilt nature which we want to share with our guests and enable them to learn more about our beautiful region. We know you will find this in our wonderful chalets ;

Our project started in 2011 and Philippe, with his skills and passion, self constructed our first cottage “Le Herisson ” in 2013 closely followed by our second "Le Basivier", which we opened to our guests the following Christmas 2013.

With the success of our first two cottages this led to the opening of "Le Lison" (named as our daughter and the Jura river, and was opened in Summer 2015.

Relaxation and welfare

For our guests who are passionate about hiking on the one hand and enjoy relaxation on the other, we wanted to combinethe two within this wonderful area.

We have created for each cottage an unique and private area with a choice of Scandinavian bath, heated by wood or a spa bath to enjoy the magical nights under the stars.

THE STORY

After 5 years of putting our dreams into practice we feel our success is due to our great feedback and happy stories from our guests who return time after time and they offer so many positive comments about the warm welcome and high standards of the outstanding chalets and the wonderful area that we feel that our dreams have come into fruition.
